After an absence of about 19 months, the Cork BHAA got their show back on the road on Sunday the 24th of October 2021 with a 5k road race in Little Island. I had expected a large turnout for this race but in the end, it was modest enough with 184 finishers.
I looked back at some of the BHAA results in Little Island from the Spring of 2020. The FMC 5k in Jan 2020 had 429 finishers while the Janssen 6k in Feb 2020 had a much lower 175.
Maybe 184 isn't so bad after all, it's just that I was expecting more. The main thing is that the BHAA are back again and I'm sure they'll have a full calendar of events for 2022.
