The results of the Cork BHAA Gas Networks Ireland 5k race on the Marina in Cork City are now online. They show that 498 runners took part, a huge increase of 55% on last year!
Usually races go up or down 5 to 10% but a jump of 55% is really exceptional, especially for a well established race on the calendar.

Increase in numbers could also have something to do with changing to a 5k from 5 miles and moving from March to July. Just maybe.
