Cork County Council have upgraded and extended the walkway in Ballybrack Woods in Douglas recently and they made a fine job of it. Even though it's reasonably short, some runners might want to try it as part of a route.

The entrance to Ballybrack Woods is a few hundred metres to the south of Tesco in Douglas. Look for the path opposite the Community Park.
