Notice : West Waterford Greenway Half-Marathon - Sat 8th Sept 2018

The 2nd West Waterford Greenway Half-Marathon is coming up this year on Saturday the 8th of September 2018 at 9am. When this new half-marathon opened last year, it sold out in just 2 day!

Updated Fri 13th July..... All of the original  750 places are gone. As of this morning, West Waterford AC have made an additional places available. Click on the link above and enter asap if you want to do this half-marathon.

There is a limit of 750 entries this year and it will open on Monday the 2nd of July at 9am.


The new Greenway which runs from Waterford City to Dungarvan follows the route of the old railway line and opened in 2017. With a combination of mountain and coastal views, it has been really popular with walkers, runners and cyclists.

This Greenway goes from Kilmacthomas to Dungarvan going across several viaducts and through the 400 metre long Ballyvoile tunnel. This video below gives a flavour of what the greenway is like.



This is likely to fill up fast so don't delay entering if you are interested.
