Results & Photos of the Dungarvan 10 mile road race...Sun 4th Feb 2018

Over 2,000 runners took part in this years John Treacy 10 mile road race in Dungarvan. The day was ideal for a road race with some nice Spring sunshine and a gentle breeze, it really couldn't have got much better.

It really is an amazing race and a credit to West Waterford AC who put a huge amount of effort into it.

  2. Yes, I agree. The race was excellently organized. Thanks to the organizers, volunteers and all those who cheered us on. The conditions were perfect for running. Some brilliant times posted by the elite runners. I thought the standard of running in general was very good.

  3. Definitely a rise in standard this year 91 runners breaking the 60 min mark compared to 60 runners last year. Must be the fastest 10 mile around?

  4. Great, well organised run! Congrats to all. A big out to the female 90 minute pacer, she was brilliant. She kept talking the whole way through right to the end when I needed it. She was really encouraging. I will be back!

  5. Well done to all a brilliant organised race and a stunning course. One quip and that would be the amount of water bottles lying the side of the road. In a time when we are trying to control plastic, is there really that need for that amount of water. It was a really cold day! But well done all and of course not forgetting the stewards and those involved in the food/beverages.
