What Happened to the Gold medal Irish U23 XC team of 2010?

Back in 2010, the Irish U23 team of David McCarthy (West Waterford), Brendan O'Neill (DSD), Mick Mulhare (North Laois), David Rooney (Raheny), John Coghlan (Metro St Brigids) and Ciaran O Lionaird (Leevale) won the European Cross Country Championships in Albufeira, Portugal.

Just 7 years later, most of them have retired from the sport due to injury or the simple necessity of earning a living. Cathal Dennehy caught up with the seven Gold medal winners to see what they are up to now and the article which is well worth reading is in the Irish Examiner.
