Results, Photos & Video of the European Cross Country Championships...10th Dec 2017



The European Cross Country Championships were held last weekend in the Slovak Republic and there are now plenty of photos and video available.

The Irish senior men’s team finished in a very credible 5th place out of 13 teams, just two points behind France in 4th.

The top 3 scoring men on the 10km course were...
15th Sean Tobin (Clonmel AC) 30:43, 19th Hugh Armstrong (Ballina AC) 30:46, 24th Kevin Maunsell (Clonmel AC) 30:49.

The other members of the team were ...48th Paul Pollock (Annadale Striders AC) 31:35, 51st Kevin Dooney (Raheny Shamrock AC) 31:40 and 72nd John Travers (Donore Harriers AC) 32:50.

There were 76 finishers

In the women's race over a course just over 8kms, the Irish team finished in 7th place out of 13 and just 1 point behind France.
