This years National Novice Cross Country Championships were held in Waterford on Sunday the 17th of December 2017.
In the Novice men's competition, there were full teams from 13 counties and 19 clubs. Leevale AC managed to take Bronze in the inter-club competition while the Cork team won Silver.

In the Novice Women's race, Sinead Keaveny of Midleton AC ran a great race to finish second to win Silver! It's no small feat to win a national medal for any club athlete.

Leevale AC finished second in the team event while the Cork team took Gold in the inter county competition.
There were 15 full club teams and 9 full county teams.
