There was a really big turnout of 535 runners for this years Cork BHAA Musgraves 5k road race in Cork City, up a whopping 40% on last year. Despite the rain earlier in the day, it was dry for the race itself.

Is it me or does the course seem a fraction short? Not just going by GPS

DeleteOn the question of course measurement, remember that you are constantly turning left and there are plenty of trees. It's very likely that your GPS watch would have 'cut' every corner rather than measuring the correct distance.
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned - not going by GPS. I'm faster than I think so because I'm closer to 20 seconds faster than I would feel.
