Are the times shown in the results based on the race clock or the chip time? My Garmin clocked me at about 20secs faster than in the results which is about how long it took me to get over the start line after the gun...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, great turnout, great weather and thanks to John Buckley Sports and all involved in organizing the night.
Can we get the net results? I am sure that is the gross time, not the net time.
ReplyDeleteSame here, looks it was gun time after all.
ReplyDeleteThere was no timing mat at the start, only the finish, so everyone gets the same starting time.
ReplyDeleteAs the race starts on a public road, I think it's a gun start rather than when you crossed over the start line.
ReplyDeleteChip Timing has been a great success. The finish was chaotic previously. The new finish line was not complete a success in my opinion. Firstly I was slower last night by 45 seconds than normal (17:40). There was a large amount of runners to lap for last 400 metres. It must have been even more for faster athletes. The old finish line seemed to eliminate this issue as runners were dividing up with 300+ mts approximately and the back straight road is less busy from a traffic point of view so easy to pass or be passed compared to home straight road. There are positive clock at half way and spectator viewing opportunities. The course is a top class course old or new.

Hi, I don't see my time posted. My bib number was 642
ReplyDeleteAre some runners missing from the results? Race number 642 is missing. Finished around the 21m 50 sec mark. thanks.
ReplyDeletejust a thank you to all involved in last nights 5k ! Every year it proves to be one of the best 5ks in the country, but i would expect nothing less from John Buckley Sports!
ReplyDeleteOverall very well organised considering the number of runners last night. Very nice touch with the leaflets handed at the end for the spot prizes. Along with a discount in John Buckley Sports for retaining your bib number. Whether you were BHAA reg or unreg - as a race it was certainly value for money.
ReplyDeleteGreat race, but it was almost too crowded -if the total number creeps much higher they may need to put a cap on the number of entries.
ReplyDeletemy bib number is also missing from results page . i have been on to the bhaa about it so they said they would look into it. there were a few others whos times were not posted. Issues with some chips is what we have been told. It was a great turnout and a fab evening even if it was too warm. Great support all around well organized albeit a few issues with timing. Hoping they will get it sorted.Even though i don't win races i like to see my times to see if I have improved on last year or if i have done a pb.
ReplyDeleteA great race as always by the bhaa and john buckley sports. Ran as temp reg but i wasnt on the results page and i think i wasnt the only runner. I love this race. Ken mulcahy
ReplyDeleteKen, what was your time and bib?
