First time running this. Tough route in parts but very fair. Very well organised. Well recommended.
ReplyDeleteRan it yesterday. Well organised and good spread afterwards. Only complaint is that the team results in division C are incorrect which is disappointing as we made a special effort to field a team with the team prize in mind.
ReplyDeleteCan you elaborate on why they're incorrect? I can't check specifics without knowing who you are and who you run for.
DeleteI can never figure out how they calculate the team prizes. Some teams have less points than those is categories above them. I suspect it has something to do with the highest palings in the team as well as the overall points but I can;t fins any details on the BHAA website. Just out of interest by the way.
ReplyDeleteI've tried to find out a few times myself on the team prizes but still havent a clue how it's done. As far as I know its something to do with your teams previous race??? A post on the blog explaining it would be very helpful.
ReplyDeleteI wrote up a small piece on it before in the comments section...2015? I'll find it again and put it up as a post and then link to it from the 'Articles' section so that it can be referenced.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI ran this last night with some Juveniles from Leevale AC. I would like to thank the organisers for allowing these young athletes the opportunity to experience an "Adults" Road Race. They were buzzing afterwards.
Thanks also to the participants for encouraging them all along the route.

It was great to see those kids out runningreat and clearly enjoying it. A great example. I couldn't keep up myself.
DeleteRun with CBC. Think the last time we got a team prize was well over a year ago, probably closer to two years ago and that was in the C division so don't think we could have gone up a division as most times we have only one or two runners in a race if even that.
ReplyDeleteHi CBC, just replied to an email.
ReplyDeleteThe category a team falls into depends on the rank of individual runners so even if you were in C last time you could end up in B if even one runner changes. We also update the rankings based on past performance.
Great race.. tough course.. such a big crowd turning out for the first BHAA evening race is fantastic. roll on pfizers
