In the mens race over 5 miles, a total of 62 took part. James McCarthy won the race for the fourth time. His winning time of 25:34 was the fastest at Ballynoe for the East Cork Road Championship since Pat Whyte ran 25:18 in the inaugural race back in 1980!!
