Notice...7th Annual CIT Floodlight Cross Country - Fri 11th Dec 2015

Most of the cross country races on the calendar are inter club only and are not open to non-club runners. For this unique event on the CIT grounds on Friday evening the 11th of December 2015, anyone can take part.

As you can see on the photo below, the course is on very short grass so it's not the usual type of cross country race with hills and mud. As such, people do not need spikes or any type of special shoes to take part and you can wear your usual runners if you want to.

  1. Hi folk's, I am training the CIT Sigerson Squad this year on Pitches 3 and 4. They are starting to cut up, so if you have spikes, bring them.

  2. Brilliant race. Delighted it is back for another year. It's one of the only XC races I run every year.

  3. Why is the distance different for men and women?

  4. It's the same at club county, Munster and National XC level. So I'm guessing the organisers are following the same blueprint.
