Thomas Barr sets new national record in 400m hurdles in Rome...


Thomas Barr of Ferrybank AC in Waterford set a new national record in the 400m hurdles when he ran 48.65 seconds in a Diamond League race in Rome on Thurs 4th June 2015. This time broke his old national record of 48.90 seconds and he is currently one of the fastest Europeans on the circuit.

As you can see from the top 5 Irish times below, he is well ahead of the rest...

  1. Fantastic performance once again from Thomas Barr. Really flying at the moment. Doha was excellent, this is even better. That's a full quarter of a second off his own Irish record. Really exciting given that the world championships are starting in 11 weeks time.....
