As per previous years, it was an outstanding day in Youghal. The organisers have everything nailed on, from the parking right through to the bus transport back to the school. And the whole day is such a worthy cause, it's just great to be a small part of it. Great credit is due to the Casey family, and it is wonderful to be able to contribute in on a small way as runners. Did anyone else notice the guy blaring out the music at various points on the course - did I imagine it or did he appear at a number of different points on the race route ??!!
ReplyDeleteFinal minor point - has an earlier start time (eg 11am ) ever being considered by the organisers ? It's just that if you have to travel
any distance to the race (in my case, an hour ), then the 1.30pm start time means you are committing the whole day to it. Just a query ..!
Well done again to everyone involved. It's one of the 'must-runs' on the calendar.
