Chi Running workshop in Ovens, Co.Cork...Sat 25th Apr
There is a plan to run a ChiRunning workshop in Ovens near Ballincollig on Saturday the 25th of April. They need a minimum of 10 people for the workshop to go ahead and they are short a few at the moment.
The workshop starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm and the cost is 110 euro per person.
The course is being run by Catherina McKiernan. Description..."The day is all about learning to run efficiently, to reduce impact on the body and to prevent or clear up running related injuries. It is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn to run with an easy efficient relaxed style and with less impact on their body. Posture is the most important part of good running form. When people run with incorrect posture it causes fatigue, discomfort and eventually pain. A big mistake that people make when running is heel striking and this puts a lot of pressure and impact on the lower legs, knees and hips. With ChiRunning we learn to land mid-foot which is a much safer place to land because there is a lot less impact on the body."

Not surprising at that price level. €110 is a lot of money!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to do this but can't make the 25th. If this is rescheduled please let us know!
