  2. Still really cannot understand the grading in these races. Great races and great value but its very confusing when it comes to the team prizes. Musgraves win the A grade last race but are in C grade this race. CIT "A" grade team get 934 but their "C" grade team get 248. (both in the prizes)
I know it has been mentioned in the past and it will be in the future but hopefully someone from BHAA can help with clearing up how it is done.

  3. From my understanding, this is how it works.

Once someone does one race, they are given a 'grade', a bit like a handicap in Golf.

After a race, they take the grades of the top 3 men and add them up. The combined total then determines whether that team are in A, B or C.

Take Musgraves for example. Suppose they have 6 registered runners. One week, the 3 fastest guys turn up and they are in group A because of their combined handicap. The next race, the 3 slower guys might turn up and their combined total puts them in C. If all 6 turn up then they have 2 teams, one in A and one in C.

I know it's a bit convoluted but it does mean that the team prizes are more evenly spread instead of just the fastest runners winning the team prizes every race.

  4. re the grading, its nearly asked every race. Why don't BHAA post how it works on their site? Would save the question been asked over and over again and hopefully put an end to the constant confusion
