Mallow AC take Silver at the Munster Intermediate Cross Country Championships

The Munster Intermediate Cros Country Championships were held on Sunday 9th November 2014 in Newmarket-On-Fergus, Co. Clare. Not too many runners traveled from Cork but the Mallow AC ladies team managed to win Silver just ahead of An Ríocht AC. The Cork womens team finished in 3rd.

In the mens intermediate competition, Michael Harty of East Cork AC took an individual silver medal. Michael has had a great cross country season to date having won both the Cork Novice and Intermediate competitions.

There were no clubs from Cork in the team results while the Cork team itself finished 5th out of 6.

The Munster Masters Cross Country Championships are coming up in Watergrasshill in Cork on Sunday the 30th of November 2014.  This was originally supposed to be in Carraig na bhFear but it is now at Kartworld which is just to the east of Watergrasshill.
