Mallow 10 top arrives at last...

The Mallow 10 mile road race was held in March 2014....results, photos & comments in this earlier post. The original race notice promised a technical top for all finishers but due to some mix up, this was not available on the day and a cotton t-shirt was given out instead. The organisers...Mallow AC...said that the proper dry fit tops would be posted out at a later date.

In the meantime, there have been a few people asking about the tops and whether they would be sent out at all. My one arrived in the post today so I presume most people will be getting theirs as well.

  1. Thanks to Mallow AC for sorting this out. I now have two T-shirts (Cotton and Technical). The race only cost €18 which included a fantastic spread, full chip timing, an excellent goodie bag, a top class drinks bottle, and the 2015 race is only 6 months away

  5. Fantastic, got mine too. It was a great race and well worth the €18 even without the second top. Thanks again and see you in March 2015.

  6. Echo all the above. Mallow AC deserves great credit for sending the shirts after all this time.As said above, its worth doing this race even without a T-shirt. Well done and thanks.

  8. Irregardless of freebies and the price, a great race every year. Always very well organised and a credit to Mallow AC. True to your word you delivered on the promise made way back in March.

  9. About time too. What took so long? Personally I think its taken the shine off what should have been a good event. Hope a lesson has been learned by Mallow AC.

  10. 'taken the shine what off what should have been a good event'....are you for real....get a grip.
I understand its your opinion, but seriously.... so for you its whether you get a technical t-shirt is the basis of what makes a successful event....
I don't know what the reasoning behind the delay in getting the 2nd t-shirt was but the Mallow 10 has been a great event all the years Ive done it....

  11. We are well aware of the reputational damage the T-shirt fiasco has caused us here at Mallow AC. We have been working behind the scenes to get the situation resolved for the past 6 months. We have never had the T-shirts in our possession and made the mistake of letting a third party have control of the manufacturing & mailing of the T-shirts. This was a mistake on our part and we paid the price for this decision.
