Results of the Carrigtwohill 5k road race...Wed 16th July 2014

Another Mega 5k in East Cork! A total of 612 turned out for this years Carrigtwohill 5k road race, up 23% on last year. Fair play to the organisers, I know they put a huge amount of work into preparing for this race and it's nice to see them getting the numbers.

  2. What a great event. You just cant beat community based runs like this one. Great support from the locals for the runners. Nice course with a very beautiful hq. A great spread after the race and all in aid of a great cause. Even the weather was perfect. We'll done everyone, definitely one for the Callander next year!

  11. A great race, really enjoyed it. A quick question. We had a juvenile running who ran really well but was surprised at his finishing position. The juvenile winner ran 18.47 but on the results page there are 2 juveniles ahead of this. 1 male ( 18 mins ) and 1 female!! How can this be??

  12. Was taking photos last night. Great crowd and a really well organised event. Woman running with dog, honestly, the stewards should have stepped in and stopped her.

  13. The trophy was for the first local junior.

There were prizes for the other juniors as well. If they see this then they should contact the organisers.

Very impressed with the post race refreshments and how much there was . Well done , this should be a template for some of the less organised rip off races that are popping up all over the place
