The photo above is courtesy of Doug Minihane and show the Navy team. Doug mentioned that it was the first time ever that the Navy team had an individual winner (Darren Molloy, Centre..). They also won the Cat A and C Team prizes.

The next Cork BHAA race is the Mount Oval Bar 6 mile race on Thurs 19th of June........with a free BBQ afterwards! ;o)

ReplyDeleteThis was amazing, to see a thousand euro of stuff handed out to runners after the prize giving,cash valued prizes, free t shirt to all and top class refreshments. Entry fee 5 euro , not 50. This is what you call looking after the ordinary runner.

ReplyDeleteExcellent race. Nice setting and route. One small thing to consider for next year, as it was a fairly warm evening. Bottles of water or cups of water could be available at the finish line area? Other than that, thanks to the organisers.
ReplyDeleteHello John, I'd like to correct the comment of anonymous 13,6/'14 @8.05a.m. there was actually two thousand euro in prizes (as in all B.H.A.A. races)given out plus 800euro in spot prizes, plus a quality T-Shirt to all finishers, and the proceeds of the race is going to charity. yours in sport. Kevin..............

ReplyDeleteCongrats to the BHAA committee and millipore. What a great event. So well organised. Great atmosphere and refreshments after. Im not sure where else other than a BHAA event would you get so much for so little 5/8 euro. Hats off to ye.
