Irish results at the World Indoor Championships...

David McCarthy just missed out with his time of 3:39.46 in the mens 1500m.There were three heats with two automatic  qualifiers from each one and the next three fastest.The fist heat was by far the slowest. In the second heat, Silas Kiplagat of Kenya finished in 3rd place in 3:39.70. In the third heat, David McCarthy beat the Kenyan's time but just missed out as he ended up as the 4th fastest of the runners up. David's personal best for 1500m is 3:39.14.
