Nominations for the best 5k and 4m race in Cork in 2013???

Now that the new year has started, it's time to look back and consider what were the best races of the year? In this post, we'll look at the best 5 km and 4 mile races. In your opinion, what were the best 5k and 4m races in Cork in 2013 and why?

There were a wide number of races to choose from, be it BHAA, club or charity events.

    Nice gear provided, fast route, high quality field (14.14 won the race), well organised and great prizes were provided.

    4 mile - Cheetah run in Fota

    Well organised, good route and views for runners, great crowd, great post event and great atmosphere.

    Kilcredan 5k for best 5k, balintotis for best 4 mile race. Both had great atmosphere before and after the races.

  19. Ballintotis 4 mile. Great crowd and atmosphere. Free t-shirt, water bottles and good spread afterwards. The ropes at the start dividing the big crowd of runners into their estimated finish time saved a lot of bunching. Handy you could pick up your race number the day before as well. Gortroe 5k.

  38. I thought the Kilcredan 5k was really well organised and teh buzz was great.

    on the four mile race I'd go for Ballintotis . The crowd was so big and everything was under control

  39. The Rosscarbery Steam Engine 5k in October is a real gem. Route features two laps of the scenic lagoon and the food afterwards was top notch.
