Results of the Belgooly 4 mile road race...Thurs 26th Dec 2013

The annual Belgooly 4 mile road race on St.Stephen's Day attracted a large crowd as usual and just over €3,700 was raised for the Bowel Cancer Treatment Fund at C.U.H.

    Great race and great turnout considering the icy conditions. Loads of parking. Easy registration. Nice wide start. Well marshaled. Only neg I saw was further down the field at the finish where they weren't recording the numbers fast enough so had to keep moving the finish line. Possibly add more chutes next year.

    Was the race slightly longer than 4miles? The start was definitely further outside the village this year compared with last year.
