Cork City Council have organised a parade through Patrick's Street at 9:30pm this evening to welcome home Rob Heffernan after his Gold medal performance at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow. The Lord Mayor Councillor Catherine Clancy said.......
“I know there is a huge amount of goodwill and excitement in Cork after Robert’s win. The city is so upbeat after his win and I know people will turn up to welcome Robert back home.” The Lord Mayor also confirmed they will host a reception for Robert Heffernan in the near future in recognition of his huge achievement.
