Results of the Dan Byrne Memorial 5k race, Doneraile Park...31st May 2013

Yet another race with a huge turnout. A total of 459 turned out for this year's Dan Byrne Memorial 5k in Doneraile Park, up 16% on last year's figure. Considering the blue skies and evening sunshine, it's probably a hot contender for best 5k of the year again.

This was also the first race of seven in the Ballyhoura Cork Road Race Series. The second race is the Willie Neenan Memorial 10k in Millstreet on Friday, the 5th of July.

    great spot for a race, well done mallow ac very well organised definetly will do it again. good to see 3 veteran runners in the top 5 there,s hope for the golden oldies yet!

    great race and very well organised. There was such a friendly feel to this race with lots of support. results our very quickly - Doneraile
    Park is ideal for this type of race. Will be back again and again if they continue to run it...
