Results of the Cork BHAA UCC 10k road race...Sun 7th Apr 2013

The Cork BHAA UCC 10 k road race attracted a big crowd this morning who just managed to get around the course and warm down before the rain arrived. Mind you, it can't have been easy running the last few miles into that strong easterly breeze.

  1. Brilliant race very well organised and stewarded and probably the best post race spread of food in the bhaa calendar. Overall really enjoyed the day even if it was a bit cold and windy.

  5. must say i really enjoyed the run. i have never ever ran in wind conditions so cruel for the last mile and a bit but it could not take from what a great day it was. well done to the BHAA and UCC for organising a great event. Food was definately a welcome site afterwards and yes it is a shame about the headphone wearers. but for some ignorance is bliss.

  7. Thanks to Gillian, Aine and all the crew at UCC Staff Athletics for a brilliantly organised race.

From the very outset, with swift registration and even hot drinks and snacks beforehand, this was a winner all the way.

The post race refreshments were the best I've ever seen by miles.

Brilliantly stewarded and friendly Gardai too of course.

Thanks too to all the supporter's along the route.

That headwind was a real challenge though.

Regards, Micheal Lucey, Cork Garda & Leevale.

That head wind was a real chal
