A total of 134 people turned out for this year's Boherbue to Kiskeam 4 mile road race in NW Cork, an increase of about 40% on last year's figure of 96. One interesting feature of the results is that it seems to have been a high quality field with no fewer than 25 people running faster than 6 minutes per mile pace. Perhaps the strong easterly breeze behind the runners for 4 miles was a factor here?

good race and the wind behind was ideal. excellent prizes and they even gave prizes to the top 10 unlike other races where its only the top three. The entry fee might have seemed big to some people but they nearly gave it all back to the athletes that ran on the day unlike other races. fair play to Gneeveguilla AC for looking after athletes and putting on a good race.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100% with the above comment.
ReplyDeleteThere aren't many races out there now that are just for the runners. Most of them are all about raising money for something or other.
Good job Gneeveguilla
