Following on from the success of last year's events, the John Buckley Sports Track and Field Graded League takes place at the CIT track in Bishopstown between May and August.
Some of these events are ideal for some of the faster runners on the road who would like to try running on the track.
You can have a look at some old results from last year which will give you an idea of the standard.
Do you have to be in a club to do them?
ReplyDeleteNo. But i assume that there will be complications if you not a members of the AAI with the County Championship races.
ReplyDeleteDisappointed to see all the County Championship events held during the week. Very difficult to get to if your working outside the county.
ReplyDeleteanother downgrading of the County t/f championships, how can anyone working or living far away from the CIT turn up midweek also the County Board Website states only senior, have the Junior and Masters Championships been got rid, on a positive note it is good to see the Board site up and running [excuse the pun] again as it has been dormant since March 3rd.
ReplyDeleteThe County Championships were held on a Sunday for the last few years and the attendance has been low. I'm guessing the decision to move to weekdays is purely to attract more numbers. I did a few of the graded leagues last year and found these very enjoyable, something different to the usual road race.
ReplyDeleteall athletes must be aai members
