Nominations for the best 5m and 10k race in Cork in 2012???

Like the previous post except that this time it's for the best 5 mile and 10k race in Cork in 2012. In your opinion, what were the best races in Cork and why?

    Both great courses for PB's, great organisation, and super food for runners afterwards

  14. I have to agree with your previous post re the Midleton 5 was the best by far.A great course,well stewarded,well marked for the miles etc. and the grub was super with lots of spot prizes for slow coaches like me

  16. The 5 mile race from Goleen to Crookhaven - fairly flat all through, great location and great atmosphere and feed afterwards. Only pity was I had to leave and couldn't have a few pints! Really enjoyed the Great Island 10 in Cobh also.

  24. 5k Doneraile park on the 1st of June.. (I’m biased on this one but still think it’s a lovely run)

    10k in liscarroll was a nice race.

Just noticed your poll, Looks like Midleton 5 is popular but having done quiet a few 5milers in recent years must say the gr8km in mitchelstown is one with great future especially as its situated in mid munster , thus having a great more mix of athletes, therfore, i'm voting mitchelstown with midleton a close second. marcel.

  35. Macroom is a lovely run a nice mixture of urban and rural, flat and incline. Very well organised and loads of grub for runners.

  49. Dunmanway without a doubt great course, fantastic local support ( even in rain ) the buns after make it all worth while and the location of the finish makes for a real family day out

  55. I must say for a first, kinsale was well organised and marshalled, given the weather they got a great turn out.bet u will see a huge increase in entrants for that in 2013, especially as it so fast. Lots of people looking for PBs. Ucc 10k.
