Results of the Cork BHAA Mount Oval Bar 6 mile road race...Sun 18th Nov 2012

A large crowd of 271 runners turned out for this year's Cork BHAA Mount Oval 6 mile road race in Rochestown, a jump of just over 35% on last year's figure of 200. As you can see from the photo above, it was held in dry conditions in contrast to the weather a few hours later.

    Excellent race, a tough 6 miles but enjoyable all the same, well done to the organisers and big thanks to Mount Oval Bar for the tasty refreshments.

    Tough course but enjoyable. My 2nd time doing it and will continue to do so. You have to leave something in the tank for the last 2 miles after that punishing hill from 3-4 miles.

    My legs are in bits after those blasted hills. Nicest cup of tea I had in ages after that race :-)

    Well done to all who took part and thank you for supporting this event. Congratulations to Sergiu Cobanu for setting a new course record.
    Well done to John Meade and Ann Marie Holland.
    Delighted that this event went off safely and without incident, challenging stuff all round. Gregg Moore.

    Tough course but one of the more enjoyable races I have done for that reason. Great feed after and brilliantly organised. Well done to all. I enjoyed the challenge and will 100% be back next year. Thanks BHAA.
