Well done to promoters. Good race.Cant understand why it does not get bigger numbers. Suppose just fashion.
ReplyDeleteThis was my 1st time doing this race and I must say its a great one. Tough but fair, and the bowl of soup after in the hall was a nice touch. well done to the organisers. I'll be back next year.
ReplyDeletegun start, great race, but the hill at the church was a penance!
ReplyDeleteThis race should be getting 900+ runners. Considering the catchment area and runners locally it is a mystery why more are not turning up, weather being terrible or not. I did Ballycotton in 2010 when the skys opened and still had the numbers. One thing I noticed (as a local and doing loads of runs in the county) no water bottles etc ate end - plenty of local business that couls sponsor it.
ReplyDeleteGreat race and very well organised but a ridiculous amount of small kids were allowed run. This was dangerous with them running all over the road, stopping ,starting etc they could easily have caused an accident. These looked like ten year olds or less.Otherwise a great night and deserving of more support.
