Race notice...Dunmanway 10k road race - Sun 17th June 2012

This 10k road race is coming up in Dunmanway in the heart of West Cork on Sunday, the 17th of June 2012 at 11am. This could be best described as a well organised club race and was voted as the best 10k race in Cork in 2011.

The entry fee for the race is €10 which is a bit suprising as it includes chip timing. Normally, the use of chip timing really pushes the costs up for organisers and the entry fee is a lot higher.

2011 finish

Last year, they got around 360 runners and it proved to be a great success. Considering the number of runners within the immediate catchment area and the fact that it's only a 45-50 minute drive from Cork City, they hope that this year's race will be as successful.
