First race of the series in Doneraile Park has very similar feel to cheetah run http://www.flickr.com/photos/ballyhoura/sets/72157624230996516/
ReplyDeletedoesn't that park have a very tough hill across the way from the old house. walked the dogs there once. very hilly?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on organising such a large & varied series of races. There's something for everyone here, with distances up to half marathon, some hilly races, some flat ones. The "half" is the flattest & straightest course I've ever ran, no excuses for a slow time! I hope the series gets the support it deserves.
ReplyDeleteThe Doneraile Park route does a few short climbs ..but does not include that hill you refer to opposite the House
ReplyDeleteHi I've started running in the past 2 months but not with any club... can I just turn up on the evening to register?
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to be a member of any club to take part in the vast majority of races.
ReplyDeleteJust turn up and enter on the day. The races are suitable for everyone, even the slowest of runners. As long as you can cover the required distance then you'll be fine.
Where can one see the routes? Trying to find the Kilmeedy route.
ReplyDeleteI'll be putting up some info about the Kilmeedy route on the Running in Munster site closer to the event.
