A total of 116 people turned out for the inaugural Rosscarbery 5k race in West Cork on Saturday, the 1st of October. The mens race was won by George Waugh from Bandon in a time of 16:22. The womens race was won by Rachel Crowley in 22:00.

The idea behind this race was to commemorate the 19th century Irish athlete T.J.O'Mahony otherwise known as the Roasscarbery Steam Engine. More info on him in the race notice.
