Irish medals in the World Masters Mountain Running Championships in Italy

A large contingent from Ireland travelled to Palizza in northern Italy to take part in the World Masters Mountain Running Championships on Saturday, the 17th of Septembar 2011. Four teams scored in the medals.

M40........2nd......Neil Carty 15th, John Brennan 18th and Cormac Conroy 31st.
M45........3rd.......Mike Cunningham was 12th. in 55:05 , Keith Ryan 21st. in 58:21 and Tom Blackburn 23rd. in 58:47 – Italy won the team event with 11pts from Great Britain in 2nd with 25pts and Ireland 3rd with 56pts.
W40........2nd......Zoe Melling 13th, Vanessa Sallier 17th, Maria Dolan 18th.
W45........3rd...... Helen White 3rd, Ann Sandford 14th and Patricia Callanan/Blackburn 36th.
