Cross Country Race in Cork on Friday night!

I know this is a bit short notice but I got a mail from Ian O'Sullivan of CIT AC to say that they are organising a night time cross country race under floodlights at the CIT grounds at 6pm on Friday, the 10th of Dec...i.e. today!

CIT AC host the second annual Floodlight Cross Country Competition

Following on from the success of last years floodlight cross country competition CITAC are once again organising a festive cross country under lights. The event takes place this Friday night December 3rd with the women’s 3K starting at 6pm and the men’s 5K starting at 6:20pm. Entries (€5) will be taken on the night in the CIT Sports Stadium adjacent to the cross country course. Refreshments will be provided afterwards.

While the event is primarily a mid season face off between rivals CIT and UCC this year the organisers are opening the events to guest runners. It is expected that friends from TCD, DCU, WIT and local cork clubs will add to the numbers toeing the line on the night resulting in an exciting evening of racing.
