It looks as if the conditions for the Cork BHAA 'UCC' 10k road race were pretty good with 403 runners taking part. That's a jump of almost 70 on last year's figure of 336. Given that there was another record crowd at the recent race in Ballinhassig, I wonder if we are in for another summer of record breaking numbers at the local road races? If you look at the numbers attending races in Ireland, you'll notice that the race numbers in Cork are amongst the highest in the country.
