Im sure if someone was needed for a team they would have went if they were able to go. For most people Sunday is family day. The business houses are grand and handy in that they are on early and you dont need to travel far. You still have the rest of day to spend as a family or take kids to whatever activities they have. With reference to John's comments there were quite a few more non club runners at this race than club runners but that aside I wouldn't be of the opinion that any runner should feel they owe it to their club to turn up to an event.
