A small number do and there is nothing wrong with that, it's just a different point of view.<br /><br />If someone has done loads of races then a medal for a 5k means nothing. If however someone does a Couch to 5k programme and then completes a 5k, that medal will mean a lot more. The race is great value for money. Tough enough second part of the 10k, but 1st half very fast, great reward at the end. Great organization. before, during and after the race. Not sure the chip timing worked great, my gorss and net time were the same and I definitely cross the line 10-15 seconds after the gun. So well orga...What an amazing race start to finish. So well organised. You could see there was a lot of effort put into this race. The Bweeng Trail Blazers should be so proud of themselves. The amount of food and refreshments afterwards was unbelievable and a little goodie bag at the end of the race was a bonus. Will be back to do this race again next year. There is several 5ks on every weekend and ive yet to see medals at many of them. Some charge 10euro and more and at some you dont get a cuppa. For the growing number of people who appreciate Medals awarded for completing Races, no matter what the distance, and display them where they can easily see what they have got to bring home from any particular race.
