We had to overtake several ladies who should have been given the time to complete their race.Davidnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-79069617621112428532015-12-04T17:44:50.758+00:002015-12-04T17:44:50.758+00:00It is call cross country.sicknit up and get on wit...It is call cross country.sicknit up and get on with it.If the conditions don't suit you or the kids don't run. There is too much health and safety these days about everything. There are very few obstacles in courses now due to this.As for the starter he was doing his job and trying to apply the rules in a fair and equitable manner. There are some who will run well in mud and others who will Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-27526149692146804362015-12-03T11:27:53.126+00:002015-12-03T11:27:53.126+00:00would love to hear from some of adult club runners...would love to hear from some of adult club runners who were there and ran it.
was it enjoyable?
was it a good racing experience?
was it a big handicap in the mud for some more than others?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-79042429021977491512015-12-01T19:44:08.975+00:002015-12-01T19:44:08.975+00:00If you don't like it bring it to your county b...If you don't like it bring it to your county board no point complaining about it here. There's plenty of parks around the country that could cater for these events.I have run in plenty of parks through the years in xcountry so where is the problem.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-4377136858502569942015-12-01T08:18:47.169+00:002015-12-01T08:18:47.169+00:00Have to agree. I have ran in worse mud but not in slurry.I thought the starter for the boys and girls under 11 was over the top the way he shouted at them to get back on the line. They are only kids and who would blame them in that weather. They just wanted to get going as quick as possible.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-8761607952588875562015-11-30T23:44:16.185+00:002015-11-30T23:44:16.185+00:00Where was the health and safety officer . The whole competition should have been cancelled especially when there was a weather warning for the country. After today and the attitude of the officials I will never let my children do athletics again.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-44056422916683004662015-11-30T21:42:20.002+00:002015-11-30T21:42:20.002+00:00Far from ideal conditions, in fact it was dangerou...Far from ideal conditions, in fact it was dangerous. Plenty of people picked up injuries. I'm all for the rough and ready cross country , but that course in those conditions it was more like a novelty mud run than cross country.
What did anyone else think ?
