Ive been to a lot of races, and sundays run was up there with the best of them.<br />Parking, Stewarding, Water Stations, local supporters en route, Road Markings, post run refreshments.... all top notch.<br />The course itself was far from easy. Very well or...I concur with all the comments above. Very well organised. Roads virtually closed, well manned water stations. Great community spirit, and encouragement from all the marshals. Scenery is lovely too. Course is certainly challenging. 4.5 miles of gradual uphill, about a 1.5 miles of downhill/flat, and the rest "lumpy". A great test of fitness for the Cork half. As an experienced runner this is a very scenic and lovely course but as tough as 10 milers go. Really enjoyed it and a real village feel to it. The o...Agree with comments about course difficulty. The organisation/logisitical side of the race was utterly faultless and runners were exceptionally well looked after. Even the arrows on the road were a fantastic touch and showed the level of thought and preparation that went onto this event. The down for about 1 mile and a half after was very severe but refreshing to gain back time lost on the first 5 mile.<br />The last 3 miles were fairly tough too some dirty hills thrown into the mix. Nicely timed two weeks before the Co...Tough course. Nicely timed two weeks before the Cork city half marathon. Wasn't expecting so much ascent in the last few miles but still a great course. Well done to the organisers - parking was hassle free, appropriate water stations, fantastic support along the route, plenty of food and drinks afterwards. T-shirt was a bonus. Well organised with loads of volunteers. It was extremely well organised and great local support along the way. The catering was excellent and no bother getting back on the road afterwards. Look forward to it next year. I never found i had time to recover. Having said that, hats off to the organisers and the local community. They got it spot on. The grub afterwards was fantastic.Lovely area for a race, nice quiet roads and beautiful countryside. Nice course, the downhill section in the middle was a lifesaver. Would definitely enter again.
