The organisation or where it starts, whether on a hill, up or down, or even on the flat, has nothing to do with the safety or lack of safety to runners. It's the idiots who take off like they've been released from a trap, and have no consideration of others around them cause the safety issues. One runner decided to saunter across the road in front of the sub 6 runners. There were collisions a few almost fell going downhill. I'd have loved to have run it again this year, but I think of all the days not to run, this is it. It'll be interesting to see the participation breakdown by gender for this race, maybe by age category. I'd say the M40 could be down a few?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-6815869930895059862014-03-29T18:57:40.953+00:002014-03-29T18:57:40.953+00:00I think poster was referring to traffic as Sundays...I think poster was referring to traffic as Sundays we'll was a very dangerous start too much traffic at a very narrow start areaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-91896810504205729602014-03-29T18:41:46.764+00:002014-03-29T18:41:46.764+00:00Agree with first post. As far as I know no one has been trampled to death yet in a road race. It's hardly extreme sport ;-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-22755714076077864312014-03-29T12:18:43.658+00:002014-03-29T12:18:43.658+00:00Way safer??
