In 2014, BHAA could help themselves out by bringing in chip timing and offering a financial inducement for folk to pre-register online. As a consequence they would get a better handle on the numbers and process the results a lot quicker.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-34814798537515758122014-08-02T08:27:12.182+01:002014-08-02T08:27:12.182+01:00Don,t think people are whining, they paid their mo...Don,t think people are whining, they paid their money so they are entitled to express an opinion just like the poster praising the bhaa and stewards etc.Just because someone has a different view of things does,nt mean they are wrong. The level of stewarding and marshaling is always top notch and it's great to have a choice of events all year round for v little cost. Have done a few races now, and the hills get me everytime but i kept going and was happy with that. I do agree about the T- Shirts, we didnt know where to go and nobody we asked cared just said there gone! I've only ever run one other race which was the Cork to Carrigaline 25k Railway line run earlier this year. I did the last 5k of that and there were markers at every km. I thought miles were got rid of in the last century :). Seems a bit daft to advertise a race in metric and then have measurements in a totally different system. You must be very new if while running you got confused between the two. They even announced about being mile markers prior to race start which I commented on was hardly necessary. Good race, it is every year, heard they ran out of t-shirts, races might have to cover themselves saying first 500 runners etc.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36499493.post-45424414497845659832014-07-31T11:09:21.616+01:002014-07-31T11:09:21.616+01:00Great race and great amount of volunteers around. ...Great race and great amount of volunteers around. thanks so much to all involved. We were so long in the finishing Chute that the people who finished behind in the adjoining chutes were able to get one... I guess the race is so popular they under estimated how many they would need. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
