Great race hampered by a poor start and almost invisible pacers. The huge crowd obviously played into this, but its a minor complaint on an otherwise enjoyable race.

Great race and well organised. Big thank you to race pacers especially 26 min pacer who was v encouraging and helped me achieve a PB. Definitly on the list for 2019!

Looks like they have set the trend of €15 for 5k now, it didn't stop runners coming out. Looks like park run also doesn't affect the numbers which proves that park run and club runs can go together.

Surprised there is no discussion on the price of the race here

I think that €15 is too much for a 5km race, however in this race there was a dry fit top and goody bag for entrants. Also togher ac were very clear about the price beforehand, they didn't advertise it at one price and then charge a higher price on the day.

Always a great race and great turnout up on last year I'd say . Happy to pay 15€ when it's going to a great foundation .

Love this race as it is always a well needed blow out after Christmas. They seem to have the spread afterwards well sussed too.

The race pack is substantial and it is the only 5k that I know of that offers so much. It is a better pack than the full marathon in Cork so personally I dont have a major problem paying €15.

Any idea of what was going to charity and what was going to the club. I have no connection to Belgooly but they clearly stated 50% of profit would go to their charity. Togher keep saying their charity road race instead of club road race, so guessing pretty much all their profit is going to charity? Its not very clear. If so then 15 euro is OK if not then a free cheap t-shirt isn't worth it considering the amount of sponsors they have to cover thier costs.
