Belgian Prime Minister suffers hearing loss after race start

The Brussels 20km run was held last Sunday but it wasn't without some drama. The race was started by Princess Astrid who is the the youngest sister of the Belgian king, Philippe. As you can see from the photo, she used a starting pistol to set the runners on their way but it was a bit too close to the Prime Minister, Charles Michel.

On Monday, the PM had to seek medical treatment to investigate the ringing in his ears and must now follow a number of treatments.
