Batman and Robin set new Guinness World Record at Cardiff Half-Marathon

Over the weekend, the dynamic duo of Mike Kallenberg (Robin) and Carwyn Jones (Batman) set a new Guinness World record for running a half marathon in costume. While Batman ran under 71 minutes, Robin did an even better time of 63 minutes!

That time would win most half-marathons in Ireland. Somewhere in the region of 22,000 runners took part in the Cardiff Half-Marahton making it one of the biggest in Britain.

Kallenburgs previous PB was 6648 according to powerof10.So to take 3 mins off that in costume doesn't seem right.Good run all the same

I am pretty sure Mike is preparing for the world 50km champs in a few weeks time and so ran round this course as a training run. For a guy who i know had already run around 90 miles that week the time he ran was not bad at all.

The finishing clock was wrong so the 63min. that is shown is actually 69min. So that would be slower than his 66min. PB. That would explain things.
