Very enjoyable and professional race in Cloyne last night .Flat course as advertised and the times called at every mile was very useful.

The 'spread ' afterwards was delicious and my compliments to all the ladies [and gents] who assisted in any way. My one concern was the decision to offer tea or coffee at the entrance to the hall . With kids [and some adults] jumping queue, it was an accident waiting to happen. I don't take milk in my tea, but even tea with milk added can cause a nasty burn.

Finally, can I question why the organisers decided to award two prizes in the M50 category, but only one in the F50 category. The decision cannot be based on participants per category as the ratio was 18 [M50] to 16 [F50].

This is not meant as a criticism, just an observation from a neutral observer.
