Highlights of the 2015 Irish Senior Track & Field Championships

The Irish Senior Track & Field Championships were held in Santry, Dublin last weekend on Sat 8th and Sun 9th August. Despite it being one of the main highlight on the athletics calendar for the year, some of the numbers taking part in some events were very poor, especially the hurdles.

These are the various highlights as shown on the programme...

00:55...Womens 400m Hurdles. Very small field.
03:50...Mens 400m Hurdles. Again, a small field with only 4 taking part.
08:40....Womens 800m. Ciara Mageean steps down from her usual 1500m distance to take the 800m title. One of the countrys best athletes.




12:40...Mens 800m.....Big field with Mark English just doing enough to take the title.
19:50...Womens 100m...Kelly Proper of Ferrybank AC in Waterford dominates the field.


20:50...Mens 100m...Marcus Lawlor from Carlow takes the title. 
25:10...Highlights of Saturday's events.
28:10...Womens 100m hudles....Loads of drama in this race but again, only 4 taking part.
30:30...Mens 110m hurldes
33:40...Womens 400m...
35:50...Mens 400m...
41:30...Womens 200m...Kelly Proper makes it a double in the 100m & 200m winning this one as well.
43:20...Mens 200m...Marcus Lawlor makes it a double as well.
47:00...Women's 1500m...Very small field in the womens race.
50:50...Men's 1500m...

Does anyone know where the results of this years County Senior Track and Field Championships can be seen.

Persume they are part of Graded league now. If AAI cant get full fields at all events at national level surely Cork would struggle just as bad.
