Big turn out for the Join Ray for 5k in Cork

While this wasn't the usual type of 5k race, a large crowd still turned out for this fun 5k in the Lee Fields in Cork City on Thurs 18th of Sept. From what I understand, it cost just €5 to enter and runners got a tech top for that price.

Today FM have a small number of photos on their Facebook page ....scroll down for the Cork pics.

Video from Tony Kelleher of Togher AC...

How many people ran this "race"?? Did they have no jobs to go to? Jesus, no wonder the country is in the state it's in.

Shift workers, people on their day off, full time parents (who got baby sitters), students and retired people probably made up a lot of numbers.

Many people gave up their lunch break for this, or (as in my case) work from home and live nearby. Or perhaps it's mothers on Mat leave, or people on shift work. Or perhaps it's unemployed people who are getting out and keeping active while searching for employment.
So think a little before posting a snide comment.

@dequarefella Your spelling of Jesus is erroneous, the correct spelling is Jeaayzus
